Sound Healing Sessions and Music Therapy

Sound Healing is an ancient way of healing used by many different traditions world wide to let healing sounds enter the body to bring about positive change. Thomas Wiegandt uses various musical instruments and his voice to produce healing sounds.
He works mainly with Tibetan Singing Bowls, which produce soft and sustained sound like a bell or a gong, with a broad spectrum of overtones. These bowls have been specially forged from seven different metals and have been used in Tibet since centuries for meditation and healing.
The Tibetans knew that certain sounds resonate in different parts of the body and that these sounds relax, restore the harmony and heal in a holistic way.

During a Sound Healing session Tibetan Singing Bowls are placed on different parts of the body so that the healing vibrations can enter the body. This sound massage can be used for a general relaxation or to work on specific problems.
Thomas Wiegandt also might use shamanic healing practices and/or counselling techniques during a session if appropriate.
Thomas Wiegandt has been working with Sound Healing since 1990, after having developed the sensitivity to feel the vibrations of different sounds resonating in a person's body.

Healing Drum Sessions

"Drumming is the heartbeat of God" (African proverb)

Drumming can improve or heal a lot of conditions where other methods might not have been very successful. Drumming works with the life force itself in a profound way on all levels, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
The drum has been used for healing purposes world-wide for thousands of years in tribal societies with their shamanic traditions to communicate with the spirit world. The drum is also being used as a tool for social integration and to restore harmony. According to West-African wisdom teachings, emotional disturbance manifest as an irregular rhythm and is a bad vibration that blocks the vital physical processes. As regular even rhythms are regarded as a sign of health, these rhythms can heal by touching the patient or client in an immediate and powerful way, removing blockages and releasing tension.
Drumming is also a preventive remedy and helps to become more conscious and balanced.

Shamanic Journey Sessions

Shamanism is the oldest belief system on Earth practiced by people who had to live in tune with nature to survive.
The shaman, being priest, healer, advisor in personal and social matters, artist and musician all in one, made contact with the spirit world or the otherworld to communicate with the forces thought responsible for the different aspects of life and the well-being of all.

In a session we will first explore and clarify the personal shamanic aspects and needs of the client. We then will use chanting, drumming and movement to embark on our shamanic journey. We also will learn to use safe trance techniques for transformation and healing.
On our journey we will learn to communicate with different beings like our ancestors, mother Earth, angels, spirits, totem animals and plants as well as various forms of energy. Through this communication we will resolve issues and personal karma that we never or only very little had dealt with so far. As a result most people will naturally get more centered and balanced.

Life Guidance Sessions

After identifying the problem the client(s) will be encouraged to explore the feelings and needs around the issue in a safe and comfortable way. Together we will choose a suitable approach of either counselling, body work or an other appropriate technique.

Thomas Wiegandt is an attentive and patient listener. He firmly believes that our thinking cannot change our feelings, but becoming aware of our feelings can change our thinking and that by getting in touch with our feelings our situation will improve considerably.
